What to do when we are closed over the Easter Bank Holidays

What to do when we are closed over the Easter Bank Holidays
As the bank holidays approach it is worth thinking about what you would do if you or a member of your family became unwell over the holiday period.  We recommend that you:-
  • stock up on over the counter medicines.  Your pharmacist can also give you advice on treatments and products available.
  • check you have enough prescription medicine to see you through the holidays and if you are going away pack enough for at least the duration of your holiday.
If you need medical assistance when we are closed you can:
  • phone the  NHS 111 service for medical advice by dialling 111.
  • pop in to your local pharmacy for advice and over the counter medication.
  • If your problem is urgent phone the NHS 111 service by dialling 111. To avoid putting undue pressure on this service, please only phone  if your problem cannot wait until we reopen.
  • phone 999 immediately in the event of a life threatening, medical emergency.

Please avoid using emergency/urgent services and hospital A&E departments for routine problems or for problems that can wait until we reopen.

We are closed on Friday 30th March and Monday 2nd April 2018.

We are open as usual from Tuesday 3rd April 2018.

Changes to our telephone system

On Wednesday 21st March 2018 our telephone system will be upgraded.  We will be unable to take any incoming calls between approximately 1200 and 1400 while the telephone lines are transferred.  For medical advice during this period please dial 111.  In an emergency please dial 999.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Coleridge Medical Centre is part of a federation of thirteen GP practices called East Devon Health.  The federation has been awarded funding over the next three years by NHS England's Estates and Technology Transformation Fund.  The funding is specifically to help improve the use of technology.

Our new telephone system will enable real time monitoring of incoming calls, all calls (incoming and outbound) will be recorded for training and dispute resolution purposes and in the future all practices will be networked enabling shared call management.

Our new telephone system is being supplied by IP Office Equipment who are a local supplier of communications and IT systems including:
  • Telephone systems
  • Telephone system maintenance
  • Cloud hosted solutions
  • Network services
  • Connectivity
  • IT solutions
  • Call recording and reporting
  • Mobile telephony

Car Park open again

The Car Park is open again.

The 3 limited mobility spaces outside the front of the surgery will remain out of use as the ground there is still slippery.  If a larger parking space is required, please use 2 spaces where available.

Once again, we apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Car Park Temporarily Closed

We apologise for any inconvenience while our car park is temporarily closed due to a diesel spill making the surface extremely slippery.  We hope to be able to open in up again later on today.  There is a safe pathway for pedestrians and the surgery and Well Pharmacy remain open as usual.
