Supply of Medicines

The Government with NHS England has plans in place to ensure a continued supply of medicines to patients from the moment we leave the EU. Their advice is that patients will not need to and should not seek to store additional medicines at home.

We will be following advice from them regarding medications.

From time to time, some medicines do become unavailable/out of stock and for all sorts of reasons.  Your GP will not necessarily know at the time of prescribing if the medication will be available from your chosen pharmacy.  If an item is out of stock your pharmacy will let you know and will be able to discuss your options with you.  If necessary they will inform us of any suitable alternative that your doctor may be able to prescribe instead.
