Information for patients who are prescribed pregabalin and gabapentin

The government has reclassified pregabalin and gabapentin as controlled drugs. This means we can now only prescribe a maximum of one months supply of medication at a time and the prescription must be used within 28 days of the prescription date.

If you currently receive medication on a two monthly basis your pregabalin/gabapentin will now be monthly. If you would like us to switch all your medication to monthly to allow you to order all the medication at the same time please let us know. Please also let us know if your current dose does not match that on the prescription.
