Why have your vaccination at YOUR GP Surgery?

Image result for nhs england flu

Why have your vaccination at YOUR GP Surgery?

· We offer a setting where we can check your medical records and make sure you get the most suitable vaccine

· We offer a fast, efficient and friendly flu clinic service with your local surgery team (and we really enjoy our drop in flu clinic sessions, it gives us a nice break from our ‘normal’ work)

· We can offer protection for those who may be forgetful by reducing the risk of duplication in vaccines being administered

· We can ensure continuity of care for our patients and carers (we know you already)

Please contact the surgery to book your appointment for your 2019/20 flu vaccination

What to do when we are closed over the bank holiday

What to do when we are closed over the Bank Holiday
As the bank holidays approach it is worth thinking about what you would do if you or a member of your family became unwell over the holiday period.  We recommend that you:-
  • stock up on over the counter medicines.  Your pharmacist can also give you advice on treatments and products available.
  • check you have enough prescription medicine to see you through the holidays and if you are going away pack enough for at least the duration of your holiday.
If you need medical assistance when we are closed you can:
  • phone the  NHS 111 service for medical advice by dialling 111.
  • pop in to your local pharmacy for advice and over the counter medication.
  • If your problem is urgent phone the NHS 111 service by dialling 111. To avoid putting undue pressure on this service, please only phone  if your problem cannot wait until we reopen.
  • phone 999 immediately in the event of a life threatening, medical emergency.

Please avoid using emergency/urgent services and hospital A&E departments for routine problems or for problems that can wait until we reopen.

We are closed on Monday 26th August 2019

We are open as usual from Tuesday 27th August 2019

Focus on E-Consult

We offer eConsult to allow our patients to get medical help without making an appointment or calling the practice.  Patients can also get health advice online.  Start your consultation here

By clicking the most appropriate link you can:

  • self check your symptoms 24/7 and find medical guidance that is written by doctors.
  • get administrative help (eg get a medical certificate)
  • seek medical advice from our doctors in the practice
When a response is requested we aim to do so by the end of the next working day, either by email (don't forget to check your junk email folder) or with a phone call from a clinician if more appropriate.

Important notes:
  • This is only for over 18s registered with our practice.
  • It is not an appropriate route to seek urgent medical help
  • It is not a bypass or shortcut for requesting a GP appointment
